Jut in time for the deliberations during the eights session of the Intergovernmental Technical Working Group on Animal Genetic Resources (ITWG-AnGR) today on 27th November, LPP and the ABS Capacity Building Initiative are releasing a new publication about the significance of the Nagoya Protocol for the conservation and sustainable use of animal genetic resources. Its focus is on the importance of community protocols as a tool for increasing visibility of local livestock production systems and for the empowerment and awareness raising of communities about their breeds.
