Side-event on Pastoralism during CGRFA 16 on February 1st

The League for Pastoral Peoples and Endogenous Livestock Development and the ABS Capacity Initiative will organize a Side-event on Access and Benefit-Sharing of animal genetic resources during the Commission on Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture (CGRFA) 16 at FAO in Rome.

The presentations will highlight a landscape approach to conserving domestic animal diversity, the existing experiences with community protocols of pastoralist communities about the biodiversity they create and manage, as well as international obligations and national regulations with respect to Access and Benefit-Sharing of animal genetic resources.
