Pastoralism and Food Security: The Hunger of the Forgotten
During the Global Forum on Food and Agriculture (GFFA) to be held from 16-18th January in Berlin, LPP is co-hosting a podium discussion on pastoralism and food security. Please join us for this event held on Thursday, 16th January 2014, 15:30-17:30 hrs, in ICC Berlin Hall 3.
GAA engages in dialogue with Civil Society
The Global Agenda of Action towards sustainable livestock sector development is organising two dialogues with Civil Society. The first one will take place in Ahmedabad in India from 27-29 September where it is hosted by MARAG; the second one will be organised together with UNEP and WISP and be held in Nairobi from 9-13 December. It is great that pastoralists are finally being heard and involved in policy processes – hopefully this will become standard practice at national levels as well!
Next meeting of the GAA coming up soon.
The 4th meeting of the Multi-Stakeholder Platform of the Global Agenda of Action towards Sustainable Livestock Sector Development (GAA) will be held in Ottawa from 15-17 October 2013. The Agenda “brings together actors committed to sustainable livestock sector development and seeks to catalyze and guide the continuous improvement of livestock sector practices towards more efficient use of natural resources.” All interested stakeholders are invited to attend.
